Vanishing Twin announce new album Ookii Gekkou

The group’s second LP for Fire Records.

Vanishing Twin have announced their next album. Entitled Ookii Gekkou, the new project was created during lockdown and captures a moment in time. The album’s title is Japanese and translates to ‘Big Moonlight’.

To accompany the album announcement, the London-based group have shared lead (and title) track Big Moonlight (Ookii Gekkou), which you can stream below. Alternatively, you can watch the new clay animation music video in the player above. The video was created by London-based video artist Daisy Dickinson.

“We asked Daisy to take the being from the cover  of our album and make it move, grow, stretch,  multiply and merge with other objects,” state the group in a statement. “Hypnotised  by the moon, the being plays in a strange  landscape populated by other mysterious objects and characters.”

Ookii Gekkou follows 2019’s The Age Of Immunology. The album is slated for release on 15 October via Fire Records, pre-order it here
