Honey Dijon, DJ Lag and Jaguar to play Afrotronic stage at next month’s YAM Festival

The new platform will make its debut at the August bank holiday weekend event.

YAM Carnival is a new UK festival dedicated to Black culture and music. Created by the team behind Afro Nation, the Clapham Common event was initially meant to launch last summer, however it will now make its debut on 28 August.

This week, Yam Carnival unveiled a new concept heading to the festival this summer. Entitled Afrotronic, it’s a new platform dedicated to Black electronic music and genres such as afrohouse, gqom, amapiano and more.

Afrotronic is set to launch at YAM Carnival with a special stage takeover featuring the likes of Honey Dijon, Jaguar, DJ Lag, Sef Kombo, Kitty Amor and Culoe De Song. They’ll join previously announced artists such as Pa Salieu, Davido, Kehlani, NSG and Koffee – plus our Issue 121 cover star Rema – at the event this August.

YAM Carnival takes place 28 August. Head to the festival’s website for tickets and listen to DJ Lag’s Crack Mix below.
