Today at Apple Creative Studios teams ups with Reprezent Radio to host free training programme for broadcasters and producers

The free scheme will run throughout August and is open to people aged 18-24.

South London’s Reprezent Radio has unveiled a free summer training programme for aspiring radio broadcasters and producers. The new scheme will run from 2 to 29 August and is open to applicants aged between 18 and 24. Those selected to take part in the Creative Studios London initiative will be given the chance to hone their skills and explore their interests. They’ll also be able to produce and present a live show on the station. Prior radio experience isn’t required to take part in the programme, however participants must be able to attend all sessions in person.

Reprezent Radio announced the new programme earlier this week (7 July). In a statement, the station stated: “Learning from major names in the broadcasting world, you’ll master on-mic and interviewing skills, transform raw audio into slick, professional-sounding features and explore how to get your show out there. You’ll get direct exposure to the industry and find out what broadcasting is like from the inside.”

A number of producers and presents from the Reprezent crew will be on hand to support and mentor participants. The likes of Matt Wilkinson and Charlie Sloth have also been confirmed.

Applications close on 19 July at 5pm (BST). Head to the Reprezent Radio website to read a programme overview and for more information on how to apply.
