This week, US rap group Brockhampton played two shows at Brixton Academy in south London.
It was a bittersweet affair, given that Brockhampton surprised fans by announcing an “indefinite hiatus” back in January. Their London gigs were among their last ever as a collective. They’ll play two more shows in April – stateside, at Coachella – before bringing the project to an end.
We caught up with the crowd at the first of their London gigs. They shared their thoughts on the group and their impact, and bid their farewells.
From romantic bonds forged through a shared love for Brockhampton through to the group’s influence on their listeners’ style, fans told us what the Brockhampton mean to them, and the ways in which they’ve have changed their lives for the better.
