AVA Festival announces opening event, afterparties and day splits for 2022

The Belfast festival has shared the details of its upcoming programme. for their upcoming edition.

Having previously confirmed the likes of Bicep, LSDXOXO, Jon Hopkins and Sherelle for the 2022 line-up, AVA Festival has now revealed the day splits, plus information on the opening event and afterparties happening across the weekend. AVA Festival will kick off with a series of talks from industry professionals and an event at Belfast’s new record shop Store Advice. This will take place on 2 June at Banana Block, in Portview Trade Centre.

Friday 3 June will see Bicep play a homecoming show – their biggest Northern Irish live performance to date – plus live sets from Prospa, Ross From Friends and 999999999. LSDXOXO will also play on the same evening, as will Logic1000, Special Request, Gemma Dunleavy and Floorplan.

The following day, 4 June, will feature live performances from Giant Swan, Overmono and Soichi Terada. The bill for Saturday also includes Jon Hopkins, Biig Piig, Sherelle, TSHA, Calibre and VTSS.

Furthermore, across the weekend, there will be afterparties held at Banana Block, Thompson’s Garage and Ulster Sports Club. The annual closing event will take place at Thompson’s on 5 June.

AVA Festival returns to Belfast on 3-4 June. Tickets will go on sale at 10am (GMT) this Thursday (28 April). Head to the festival’s website for more information.
