The Crash star is set to play the new festival on 3 September.
Charli XCX joins the bill for Forwards Festival on the Saturday, making her Bristol festival debut. The new weekend event is organised by Team Love and AEG and takes place on Clifton Downs in Bristol from 3-4 September.
Alongside Charli, Forwards Festival has confirmed Little Simz, Khruangbin, Róisín Murphy and Caribou for its inaugural event. Jamie xx and The Chemical Brothers have previously been announced as headliners across the weekend. Other acts on the bill include Shygirl, Floating Points, Sudan Archives, Fred again.. and Kae Tempest.
The two-day festival will also feature a live set from Overmono plus performances from Sleaford Mods, Kojey Radical, Self Esteem and Willow Kayne.
In addition to the music, Forwards Festival will hold a series of discussions on race, trans rights, the cost of living crisis and more. As part of this, former footballer John Barnes MBE – who wrote The Uncomfortable Truth About Racism – will be in conversation with Lawrence Hoo, a Bristolian poet and active spokesperson on the Colston Four trial. Other speakers include Travis Alabanza, Shon Faye, Jack Monroe and Lemn Sissay.
