The Utrecht festival has revealed four new projects for its 15th edition this November.
Le Guess Who? has confirmed Manchester collective GNOD, who will perform at the four-day event and also bring Holy Scum and Moundabout. Mexican DJ and artist Coco Maria has also been announced for the upcoming festival, presenting a live edition of her Worldwide FM Club Coco show. As part of this, Coco Maria will welcome Anatolian singer and multi-instrumentalist Derya Yildirim, Mexican cumbia-punk outfit Son Rompe Pera and Bogotá band Romperayo.
Elsewhere, Le Guess Who? will host the third iteration of Hidden Musics, a project that explores localised musical traditions. This year Hidden Musics will feature Algerian singer Cheika Rabia with dancer Esraa Warda, flamenco artist Lole Montoya and a collaboration between Egyptian musician Nancy Mounir and Utrecht’s The Flare Quartet.
Utrecht-based contemporary art and music platform Uncloud also makes a return to Le Guess Who? with Hinako Omori and Hatis Noit joining the programme. The Uncloud line-up will also feature previously announced performances from Mabe Fratti and a collaborative show from Sote and audiovisual artist Tarik Barri – whose video for Sote’s track Life we premiered in May.
These latest additions to the line-up join the likes of Jana Rush, Nia Archives, Zebra Katz, CURL, Marina Herlop and Moor Mother. Le Guess Who? takes place in Utrecht from 10-13 November. Head to the festival’s website for further information.
