Following its eighth edition this summer, the dance music festival needs support to keep going.
Today (30 September), Field Maneuvers has launched a crowdfunder asking for help to secure its future. The team cited financial struggles, which are being faced across the live events industry amidst the cost-of-living crisis, and the impact of this year’s return, following a three-year hiatus. Even though the event sold out, Field Maneuvers experienced a 30% drop in attendance and are now faced with needing to recover £40,000 to ensure the well-loved event is able to return next year.
“For FM to survive we really do need your help,” the Field Maneuvers team shared in a statement alongside the crowdfunder. “We know times are tough and if you can’t afford it, please don’t even think about donating, but if you can chip in to this Save FM Crowdfunder, you’d make some exhausted and genuinely worried people very happy indeed.” The ‘Save FM’ crowdfunder will run for four weeks and can be supported here.
