Janet Jackson went to Corsica Studios last night

The pop icon was spotted at Corsica Studios in London last night (8 October).

Alexander Nut – who founded Eglo Records with Floating Points – posted a photo of him with Janet Jackson from the label’s event. Sharing the image, producer and Natural Frequency Records founder LDLDN wrote, “Janet Jackson was at the Eglo Records party at Corsica Studios last night. THAT is how influential Alexander Nut is”.

The imprint – which has released music from artists including Shy One, Fatima and Steve Spacek – held its latest night yesterday with New York’s Tony Touch heading up proceedings. DJ Tara, who also played the Eglo Records event, tweeted about the star’s appearance at the party: “Janet Jackson was there and told me she loved my set. I was a stammering mess but Janet is everything.”

Jackson recently announced the reissue of her seminal album The Velvet Rope to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The deluxe edition reissue is out now and also features remixes from Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Frankie Knuckles and Armand Van Helden.
