The Welsh music and arts festival is set to return from 20-24 July next year.
In addition to announcing the dates for its 2023 edition, Westival has shared a fundraiser, asking for support to help build a sustainable future for the event. “Firstly we just wanted to thank you for such an amazing event this summer,” the team wrote. “In many ways, Westival 2022 was our best event yet.”
“However despite this, we find ourselves in a difficult situation,” they continued. “Once the event was completed, it was clear to us that from a financial perspective, the festival didn’t go as well as we’d hoped.” Outlining the cost of living crisis, rescheduled dates and rising supplier costs as contributing factors, Westival is asking for people to buy tickets in advance, and outlining why this is crucial to secure the festival’s future.
As extra incentive to encourage people to buy tickets for their 2023 event, Westival are offering group ticket options and also raffle entry for anyone who buys their tickets over the next four weeks. Prizes include glamping tickets, backstage passes, Westival merch, a £100 bar tab and more. Head to the Westival website for tickets and further information.
