slowthai has been charged with two counts of rape. The Tyron and Nothing Great About Britain artist – real name Tyron Frampton – appeared before Oxfordshire magistrates court via video link earlier today (16 May) and spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address, The Guardian reports. The 28-year-old rapper has been changed with the oral and vaginal penetration of a woman without her consent in September 2021.
slowthai is currently on bail and due to appear in front of Oxford crown court on 15 June. Following today’s court appearance, the rapper took to social media to deny allegations. See his statement below.
