TraTraTrax announce new sublabel Ambie-Tón, focusing on ambient

The first release will be a six-tracker from Ezmeralda, set for release on May 7.

Colombian electronic music collective and record label TraTraTrax have announced a new ambient sublabel, Ambie-Tón.

The first record Ruido y Flor will come from Bogota-based producer Ezmeralda (real name Nicolás Vallejo) – a six-track EP that is set for release on May 7. It will be available digitally, as well as physically with a limited edition cassette.

The outfit announced the news via an Instagram post, in which they called the new label a “brave new venture into the heart of the haze”.

TraTraTrax was founded in 2020 by Nyksan, Verraco and DJ Lomalinda, rising to global prominence with the release of Nick León and DJ Babatr’s hit (and Crack’s 2022 track of the year) Xtasis, They have since become ubiquitous with their Latin American infused club music sounds.

Pre-orders for Ruido y Flor are open now. Revisit our November cover story with the Colombian trio here.
