GALA announces 10th anniversary global club tour

The tour will stop in Newcastle, Bristol, Tokyo, Lisbon, Chicago, New York, São Paulo, Berlin, Amsterdam and Melbourne.

GALA Festival has announced a 2025 club tour to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Stopping in 10 cities that have shaped GALA’s sound, it will honour the festival’s global community, forward-thinking programming and favourite dancefloors, collaborating with promoters who share its community-driven ethos.

The first stop takes us to World Headquarters next Friday 24 January in Newcastle, where GALA’s founders first linked up in the 2010s as student promoters. DJ EZ will headline with a four-hour set, with support from Newcastle’s Santa Leticia.

Ten Years of GALA will then land in Bristol on 8 February to celebrate the bass-driven sounds that have underpinned the festival’s traditional Friday programming, where Hessle Audio’s Pearson Sound, Manami and ADDSOUND will play Coroners Court.

The tour will then fly to WOMB in Tokyo on 14 March for a collaboration with Japanese festival Rainbow Disco Club, before stopping at Lisbon’s Higher Ground on 12 April, New York’s Public Records on 9 October, Chicago’s smartbar on 11 October, and São Paulo’s Ephingenia on 25 October for a night created in collaboration with Brazilian crew Gop Tun. Berlin’s location is yet to be announced, but the night will take place on 22 November in collaboration with community station Refuge Worldwide, before the tour wraps up with a show in Amsterdam on 28 November and at Melbourne’s Abbotsford Convent on 6 December with promoter Crown Ruler.
