Having premiered at Tribeca Film Festival last year, Restless is out in UK & Irish cinemas from Friday 4 April.
Helmed by director/writer Jed Hart and starring Lyndsey Marshal, Ashton McAuley and Barry Ward, new psychological thriller Restless portrays a tense, slowly escalating fall-out between two new neighbours.
The film centres around protagonist Nicky, a withdrawn empty nester who works long hours and lives a calm but isolated life, before hard-partying neighbours move in and persistently – and unapologetically – disrupt her sleep, routine and peace. As the film progresses, their immediately strained relationship bubbles into something sinister as she discovers a more reactive, erratic side to herself.
Exploring themes of revenge, identity and the unravelling of sanity, it’s a story that asks what happens when the human psyche is pushed to its limits.
