And Now I Know What Love Is will take place from 9-19 July at Manchester’s Diecast.
Former Crack Magazine cover star Blackhaine has announced the world premiere of And Now I Know What Love Is – an immersive performance exploring the similarities between birth and death through a mix of music, text and choreography.
Drawing inspiration from his upbringing in the North West of England, the performance explores liminal and seemingly desolate spaces. Set against a post-industrial backdrop, audience members will be encouraged to move around the edge of a performance space occupied by a company of dancers.
“The work presents an exposed urban environment, melted through psychedelic treatments. It is about finding love and comfort, after being pierced through walls of noise,” Blackhaine said.
Commissioned and produced by Factory International, the show will take place from 9-19 July at industrial space Diecast in Manchester.
