Gaswerk Music Days announces full programme for 2025 edition

The Berlin festival reveals the full line-up for its third edition, which will take place from 12-19 July.

Organised by Gaswerksiedlung Berlin, Gaswerk Music Days returns to the gART.n and BLOCK1 in Berlin this July. Continuing under the ethos of ‘Radical Live Music’, the festival’s programme seeks to offer an alternative to the mainstream music ecosystem.

This year, it will showcase 20 acts across two stages, as well as Gaswerk Music Market on 16 July and Gaswerk Music Tech Day on 17 July.

The festival begins on Saturday 12 July with a day hosted in collaboration with Nyege Nyege Festival. Highlights include percussion ensemble Arsenal Mikebe, traditional drumming and dub techno band HHY & The Kampala Unit, and a closing set from Awesome Tapes From Africa.

Sunday 13 July will see Mark Ernestus’ Ndagga Rhythm Force performing live for the premiere of their forthcoming album Khadim. Elsewhere on the open-air party line-up are Queen Asher & Rehema Tajiri, Marylou and J. Wiltshire.

Friday 18 July will focus on improvisation, exploration and interaction, with A/V shows, collective jams, and performances by Andrea Belfi & Nazanin Noori, Vincent Moon with Gabriel Hops, Placebo Domingo, and Gaswerk’s residents Crazy Mega Jam.

The festival will come to a close on Saturday 19 July with a journey through psychedelia and experimental electronics. The day will see a range of immersive soundscapes from Nicholas Morrish, Radwan Ghazi Moumneh, and Vanishing Twin, before the night brings bass and dub-infused sounds to the festival with sets by Deadbeat, Shackleton, and Appleblim.
