Award-winning playwright Tanika Gupta’s A Tupperware of Ashes, first debuting in October 2024, is now available to stream via National Theatre at Home. A Tupperware of Ashes follows ambitious but stubborn Michelin-star chef Queenie, a mother of three whose ageing mind and loose grip on reality cause her children to make an impossible choice. Scored by British composer and producer Nitin Sawhney, the family drama focuses on life, immigration, and the Indian spiritual cycle of death and rebirth.
The play is a recipient of the Edgerton Foundation New Play Award, and Meera Syal’s performance was nominated for an Olivier Award this year.
