Listen to GbClifford’s latest, ‘Mock the World 2gether’

The Prague-based artist’s new album deals with temporality, presence, and the search for meaning within overstimulated modern life.

SHAPE+ Platform affiliate GbClifford has released a new album, Mock the World 2gether, out now via Wrong.

On the project, the sound collage and experimental pop artist explores finding presence in a constantly shifting digital world, layering original compositions with telephone recordings and other audio snippets to create a listening experience that feels both intimate and unstable. While Mock the World 2gether leans more heavily into pop ballads than previous work, those moments are filtered through distorted sounds and intentionally unpolished edits.

Structured as two distinct chapters, the record follows an emotional arc. The first, Sometimes I Think About, centres on disconnection and overload, while the second chapter shifts toward nostalgia, drawing on memories of shopping malls, early vlogging culture, and familiar television programming. These scenes echo the internet’s fascination with liminal spaces, reframing environments often seen as empty or obsolete as places still capable of holding warmth and liveliness.
