The Covent Garden venue opens this September, with a debut programme featuring Erykah Badu, Nubya Garcia, Yussef Dayes and more.
Blue Note Jazz Club is opening its first UK venue in London’s West End on 23 September.
Located on St Martin’s Lane in Covent Garden, Blue Note London will present a programme of British and international artists spanning jazz and related genres. The venue follows the model of the club’s locations in New York, Los Angeles, Milan and other cities, combining legendary names with emerging talent.
The first season will feature performances and residencies from artists including Erykah Badu, Nubya Garcia, Yussef Dayes, KOKOROKO, Hak Baker and Jamie Cullum, with more artists to be announced.
Five-time GRAMMY Award winner Robert Glasper will open the venue with performances on 23 and 24 September before returning for a further seven shows in November. Glasper will also serve as a creative ambassador for Blue Note London, helping shape the venue’s artistic direction.
“Starting this new club is about creating a space where jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and everything in between can meet, evolve, and surprise people,” Glasper says. “I’m excited to build something in London that feels intimate, fearless, and alive, a place where artists can take chances and audiences can experience the music up close.”
Designed by Julien Legeard of Legeard Studio, Blue Note London will feature two performance spaces. The main room will hold 250 people and host two shows each evening at 7pm and 9.30pm. A second 100-capacity space, B-Side, is due to open later in 2026 and will focus on emerging British artists.
The venue will be open until 1am from Monday to Saturday and until midnight on Sundays. Alongside its bar and cocktail menu, Blue Note London will also serve dinner throughout the week.
