Kano releases new documentary on the making of Hoodies All Summer

The 13-minute short follows the creation of the British MC’s sixth studio album.

Former Crack Magazine cover star Kano has released a new documentary today (20 January), which goes behind the scenes of his 2019 LP Hoodies All Summer. Available to watch online now, the documentary explores Kano‘s creative process and features interviews with producers Blue May and Jodi Miller, alongside collaborators Popcaan, D Double E, Kojo Funds and Ghetts. The documentary was filmed on Alexa Mini and Sony hi8 cameras, along with footage captured on personal phones.

It’s not the first documentary from Kano. In 2016, the artist released a documentary on the LP Made In the Manor. In November, the grime star shared a two-part video for the Popcaan-featuring track Can’t Hold We Down. The two episodes show the rapper exploring his family’s past and his connection to Jamaica.

Kano is set to embark on a UK tour this year, beginning from Bournemouth on 31 January. Watch the documentary via the player above.
