Crack Magazine’s Issue 112 cover star has announced her first full-length.
Entitled Fake It Flowers, today (15 July) Beabadoobee has shared a new video for the first single Care. The accompanying video was created during the pandemic. Watch it via the player above.
On the track, the Philippines-born and London-raised artist said, “This song has end of 90s movie vibes, like you’re driving down a highway.”
“It is pretty much me being angry at society, or people around me who I just don’t think know me and don’t care. I don’t want you to feel fucking sorry for me. I just want you to understand what I’ve been through.”
In her Crack Magazine cover story, Beabadoobee – real name Bea Kristi – said her upcoming debut was inspired by “loads of sick women from the 90s” including Veruca Salt, Tori Amos, and the Breeders. “This album delves deeper into my childhood and into who I am as a person,” she added. “I’m exploring why Loveworm happened, why Space Cadet happened etc; where did those come from, that kind of thing.”
