Processions in Manchester, Bristol, London, Reading, Glasgow and more are planned across the next three days (23, 24 and 25 October).
A number of artists have voiced their support for the #EndSARS movement in Nigeria following video footage surfacing on social media, appearing to show the Nigerian army opening fire on peaceful, unarmed #EndSARS protestors at Lagos’ Lekki toll gate. The state governor said about 25 people have been wounded, and one protestor is dead. A 24-hour curfew has since been imposed.
In a now-deleted tweet, former Crack Magazine cover star Burna Boy said, “I am in London and I’m doing my best to make sure sanctions are imposed against Nigerian government officials. I need all citizens of all European countries, America, Asia, EVERYWHERE, to please do the same. THEY MUST ALL PAY!!” [sic]
Burna had previously launched a charitable organisation to support protesters.
