The Bristol trio – made up of producer Amos Childs and vocalists Jasmine Butt and Alex Rendall – head up the Sunday Mix series in the lead-up to their sophomore LP, Sweet Company.
The band’s first album, Sleep Heavy, landed on the now-defunct Blackest Ever Black back in 2017, but this year the Bristol group will self-release their second full-length via their own imprint, do you have peace? While their debut LP was about loss, their next is billed as a lover’s record – taking in the dream-pop of A.R. Kane and underwater video game soundtracks.
On the mix, Child writes, “A lot of the tracks in here are things we’ve played on our NTS show Music 4 Lovers, and a lot of them are things Andy Payback showed me. Got to give a big shout out to him and shouts to Miles for telling me to listen to A.R Kane.” This one’s for those who are “feeling a bit worse for wear”.
