The pair’s latest project is slated for release in April.

Overmono have announced a new 12″ for XL Recordings. The pair (aka brothers Tom and Ed Russell) will release two new tracks entitled Pieces of 8 and Echo Rush on the London-based imprint next month.

The release was announced today (24 March) and unveiled alongside the project’s A-side offering Pieces of 8. The track was among the first to be played during the duo’s first ever live performance back in 2016 – which was this Boiler Room gig. It’s played a key role in their live shows ever since. More recently, Overmono collaborator Joy Orbison played it on his Grand Theft Auto radio show. Echo Rush was “found on our laptop one day,” says Ed in a statement. He added that he “had no idea when we wrote it”.

The forthcoming release follows Overmono’s well-received Everything U Need EP, which dropped via XL last year.

XL Recordings will release Pieces of 8/Echo on 9 April. Listen to A-side cut Pieces of 8 below or stream it here.
