Berlin-based DJ, producer and Panorama Bar resident Paramida makes evocative electronic music for sunlight-soaked dancefloors. Peak-time sounds and then some to take you through the night and into the next day with a grin on your face – and likely some tired feet. Her latest EP, August’s Moonrise VII for her own Love On The Rocks imprint, featured three such cuts.
Her Crack Mix was built from this same euphoric ethos, but also from a state of emotional overwhelm. “I was extremely emotionally loaded because of the situation in Iran,” she tells us. “So I stayed up all night making this super psychedelic and emotional mix. Afterwards I cried my eyeballs out and called my mum in the morning, asking her whether it was still just a protest – or a revolution. She answered: ‘the revolution has already started.’”
