Concluding its EU and Pro Helvetia-funded period, the platform has revealed its new roster of experimental artists.
SHAPE+ is a platform for innovative music and interdisciplinary art, offering a space for emerging artists to showcase their practice. After a series of events throughout 2024 and 2025, it’s now entering its final season with a roster of 18 emerging experimental artists.
After SHAPE+ expanded into a union of 18 forward-thinking European festivals in 2022, the roster has been collectively created by the curators of the member festivals. Some of the artists from the list include Canva6, funcionário, Laikka, Pizza Noise Mafia, and The Stanley Maneuver.
Each artist will participate in a number of activities over a five-month period, including weekly interviews on the platform’s website, broadcasts on the SHAPE+ Radio Network, digital compilations, Instagram takeovers and coverage by media partners.
To celebrate the conclusion of its 2024-2025 season, SHAPE+ has released a compilation album published on Bandcamp. Titled SHAPE+ : More music from 2024 – 2025, the compilation features recent music and previously unpublished work by nine of the SHAPE+ artists from this period. Covering avant-pop, noise, post-club, and free improvisation, the compilation gives a taste of the sonic diversity the platform strives for.
The final season of SHAPE+ concludes on 31 December. Keep an eye on the project’s website and social media for weekly interviews, frequent radio mixes, and digital compilations.
