Twitter had to respond to the biopic’s inaccuracies in the only way it can

Last Friday, Jada Pinkett Smith spotlighted the Tupac biopic’s historical inaccuracies in a series of tweets. She clarified that the film reimagines their relationship. “Pac never read me that poem. I didn’t know that poem existed until it was printed in his book. Pac never said goodbye to me before leaving for LA. He had to leave abruptly and it wasn’t to pursue his career. I’ve never been to any of Pac’s shows by his request. We never had an argument backstage. The reimagining of my relationship to Pac has been deeply hurtful.”

Daquan Gesese – who hosts a feed of memes on his Instagram – responded with a joke on how the film uses an iPhone 7 and, of course, Twitter ran with the comedy. Placing Tupac in the millennial era, users have been making ‘I left when Pac’ jokes on when the film got to be too much for them. Scroll down for some of our favourites.
