In October, the former Crack cover star announced the launch of her ‘digizine’, named AVANTgarden, which was distributed via Instagram slides.
Named ROOTS. SHOCK. BEAUTY., the first issue was a visual exploration of braids and it’s now been followed up by a second instalment entitled Dream Warrior. The sophomore issue is a collaboration with photographer David Ozochukwu – who she worked with on a Nike campaign in January – stylist Matthew Josephs and editor Suzannah Pettigrew.
Featuring twigs’ new product range, the pyjamas, t-shirts, eye mask and pin badges from the digizine are now available to purchase from her website. On the collection, she said in a press statement, “I’ve always worn my mother’s silk PJs on stage from my very first tour, but they wore out so I wanted to make some of my own. I’m also obsessed with sets and bold prints and, through my exploration of mysticism, I created symbols that protect and invite otherworldly creatures to assist those who wear the sets in their everyday lives.”
