Simple Things 2017: Omar Souleyman

Simple Things’ annual one-day takeover of Bristol welcomed celebrated Syrian artist Omar Souleyman to Colston Hall on 21 October, where a full, eager crowd thronged the foyer to watch him perform.

As he ran through his tracklist, which included singles such as Ya Bnayya from his brilliant 2017 album To Syria, With Love, the audience danced with wild abandon to the festival’s momentous finale.
