Live from Ortigia Sound System Festival 2022

The 2022 edition of Ortigia Sound System had everything revellers have come to expect from the intimate Sicilian festival: thoughtful programming, a stunning setting and an easy-going ethos all from the historical heart of Syracuse, on the island of Ortigia. Crack Magazine was also there in attendance, with the likes of Anthony Naples b2b DJ Python, Kelly Lee Owens, Yu Su and more dishing out tunes on our very own stage.

We’re delighted to present a trio of recordings from this year’s gathering that capture the energy and intrepidness of Ortigia Sound System. Relive the festival below, through sets from Kelman Duran, MC Yallah & Debmaster, and Lamusa II.

Kelman Duran

A gleefully hectic set from Kelman Duran, filled with a grab-bag of baile funk, reggaeton, Jersey club and more.

MC Yallah & Debmaster

Nyege Nyege affiliate MC Yallah in the zone with trusty collaborator and producer Debmaster on the Crack Magazine stage. An incendiary listen.

Lamusa II

Taking to the controls as part of a Hivern Discs showcase, the Italian producer lays down two hours of dark room sounds, hypnotic chuggers and more energetic selections.
