As we enter the third week of lockdown in the UK – and with many countries in the position for longer – we wanted to take a break from the regular rhythms of crackaud.io and slow everything down to a lazy weekend’s pace. We hope these mixes help to alleviate some of the stresses and frustrations of stationary living.
First up is the Venezuelan ambient-electronic composer Miguel Noya, whose retrospective compilation Canciónes Intactas was released last month on Phantom Limb. His mix, titled 19 Timeless Rooms looks to his transnational peers and influences working in the “tendency of melodic, textural and not really mainstream ambient” that is his own remit. Weightless and earthy, we begin the week at a snail’s pace.
