Bandcamp Week – Kush Jones

House Footwork Drum 'n' bass

Kush Jones’ discography deserves its own chapter in the story of New York City’s current dance music boom. Largely self-released, his work touches on jungle, electro and rave, though as a member of the international collective JukeBounceWerk, his footwork roots are still proudly worn on his sleeve.

It’s no surprise then, that the lion’s share of his mix for Bandcamp Week is devoted to the frenetic 160 BPM sounds that were incubated in Chicago. Throw in a smattering of house and a healthy dose of tear-out drum‘n’bass and you’re left with a portrait of a master at work.

Listen now and purchase the tracks on Bandcamp this Friday.
