This week’s Crack Mix comes via Italian DJs Dirty Channels. The dynamic duo, made up of longtime collaborators Simone and Leme, take us on an introspective voyage through the aural terrains that have influenced their prolific sets over the years. On this sonic flight, disco nostalgia is intertwined with old-school house and Detriot techno grooves, culminating in an atmospheric ascent into the funk-laden skies of the Pastaboys mentees.
After cultivating renowned solo careers as DJs and producers, Dirty Channels began their symbiotic journey together in 2007, landing tracks on infamous labels such as Glitterbox / Defected and Classic Music Company. They’ve since performed at prestigious events like Hï Ibiza and Polifonic festival, and have their own residency, Take it Easy in Milan – a party and record label run alongside their friends Bugsy and DJLMP.
The pair behind Watchin’ Out have curated this ebullient mix for the disco deep-cut dwellers and the tech-house loop diggers alike, featuring two of their own ones in the tracklist. Get tuned in.
Dirty Channels will play at Polifonic Festival Puglia, which takes place from 25-28 July, as well as the Milanese edition of the festival, happening from 31 May-2 June.
