Anthony Naples and Jenny Slattery’s Incienso label is back with a final dispatch, concluding their crackaud.io residency with an hour of stepping hip-hop and chugging IDM from Moodhut’s CZ Wang.
Speaking on his inspiration for the mix, Wang pointed to this pertinent quote from Seal, regarding his early 90s track Crazy. “It was 1990: the Berlin Wall came down, there was the discovery of fractals and chaos theory, Tiananmen Square massacre. I felt the cycle had reached its apex. I felt the world changing and I felt profound things happening. We’re never gonna survive unless we’re a little bit crazy.”
