Based in Singapore but with a healthy presence in New York, Darker Than Wax exists to represent the spirit of jazz through electronic music in South East Asia and beyond. The brainchild of Kaye and Funk Bast*rd, the label and collective has grown into a key player in Singapore, with an ever-increasing presence worldwide reflecting it’s globally-minded outlook.
For the next four months we’ll be hosting sets from the label’s core team and artists they work with, starting off with Marco Weibel and Jitwam. Weibel gets the ball rolling with an eclectic set that balances soulful house music with some tougher impulses before Jitwam draws for funk, disco and Brazilian heat.
