Selector, label boss and Skin&Blister collective co-founder EMA is making waves in Irish club scene through community-minded activism and low-end frequencies. Born and raised in Dublin, EMA founded the party series turned label Woozy in 2020. With three releases under its belt, including this summer’s WZY2.5 compilation, the imprint has proven itself to be a loyal champion of UK sound system culture and dub-laden sounds.
Fluid, effortless and a lesson in tension and release, EMA’s Crack Mix certainly lives up to these expectations, too. Coming in at just over an hour, she further celebrates the sounds that have shaped her work thus far and keeps it delightfully “140 with a lot of my favourite basslines from artists new and slightly older.”
Continuing, EMA adds: “Most notably I’ve included a track from Sha Ru, one of my favourites at the moment. Make sure to keep an eye out for forthcoming Woozy material from them.”
