Healers: Mixed by Duskus

House Electro

On his latest release Healers Vol. 1 Duskus draws inspiration from the natural world. In particular, the deeply restorative experience of spending time in the great outdoors, especially in stark contrast to the sometimes overwhelming intensity of city life.

“I moved back in with my parents in the countryside which triggered a change in me,” Duskus explains. Detailing that wild camping trips with pals spurred on a renewed inspiration he continues: “the sense of freedom from being with your mates and being able to do anything you want, to climb any mountain, to explore and sleep anywhere, to swim in waterfalls, to cook rubbish little packet meals from our little stoves at any location. It had nothing to do with the competitive life of being in London.”

“Grounded in nature,” the DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist adds. Which is the context within which he’s put together this mix for us today – offering an extension of the vibrant and euphoric sonic terrains of his EP. “With Healers I want to take people away from their four walls and into nature with me,” he says. A truly transcendent and transportative slice of sonic escapism filled with beaming electronica and ethereal house-driven warmth, enjoy.
