Sunday Mix: Kayla Painter

Bristol-based artist Kayla Painter creates enveloping soundscapes that are both soothing and melancholic.

For our Sunday Mix series, Painter crafts a reflective soundtrack to the weekend. “It’s nice to enjoy ambient and experimental sounds… when you’ve had a big night the night before, or you are just not doing much because it’s Sunday,” she writes. “There’s some light relief in the middle where some vocals and more formed beats break through but I wanted to only glimpse into that for a bit of fun, before heading back more into an experimental and contemplative mood.”
