London subterranean staple Lora Mipsum steps in for Crack Mix 595. Co-head of not-for-profit knees up Whomp alongside ANNX, she is also the founder of label Slush Records, which digs out and reissues lost prog and trance gems from the 1990s and early 2000s. Her slick and subtle, two-hour long mix provides a peek into her deep record well, with psy grooves, breaks and trancey shakers. Dive in.
Who: Lora Mipsum.
What: Proggy, deep, techy.
Where: Originally from Caterham, now Clapton.
When: I’ve done a few peak time mixes recently so I wanted to do a mix that was a bit more stripped back, but still deep and groovy – the perfect setting for this would be at a festival for sunset.
Why: DJing is an amazing outlet, full of inspiring communities. Without it I wouldn’t have made some of the friendships I have today, and wouldn’t have joined the team at Whomp which I now co-run with ANNX.
