Today’s Crack Mix from LR Groove is hard to resist.
Stylistically, LR Groove – who is one half of London-based duo Tribal Brothers alongside Razzler Man, and the co-founder of the Renk Groove label – floats between the UK and South Africa; from amapiano and gqom to house and UK funky. It’s a succinct example of how Groove threads together any and all genres he finds himself compelled to, resulting in a set that fires up the heat in all the right places, and slows things down exactly where needed.
“This mix is a representation of sounds that I’m loving at the moment and that have been making their way into my live sets. It’s a proper solid mixture of deep, tribal, percussive sounds,” he tells us. “There are plenty of LR Groove tracks and as always, a decent selection from my peers within the sounds I represent. Shouts to Taffa, Maestro, Mad One, KG, Polo, Scratcha and Growzie – not forgetting my partner in crime Razzler Man, just to name a few.
“I’ve curated something to take you through the journey of the world that influences me,” he adds. “I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I did while recording it.”
