Sunday Mix: Mary Lattimore

Contemporary harpist Mary Lattimore is known for her idiosyncratic sound of electronics mixed with the Lyon and Healy Concert Grand Harp.

The LA-based artist’s most recent album Silver Ladders, released in October this year, was produced by guitarist and Slowdive member Neil Halstead. The elegant sounds of Lattimore’s harp is layered with Halstead’s guitar, offering listeners an oasis of calm.

This week’s Sunday Mix maintains that same sense of serenity, gliding through lush ambient soundscapes, shimmering mbira, guitar ballads and vibrant sounds from East Africa.
