Much like the multi-hyphenate crew she’s part of, as an artist, DJ Gigola is guided by her instinctive curiosity. It’s this yearning to further examine, say, the relationship between the dancefloor and meditation, that resulted in the bewitching new project. Plus this very mix, too, which moves between the calm and subdued and the more overtly invigorating while gracefully retaining its sense of flow.
“This mix is intended as a morning ritual to reset and calm the mind for a fresh start into the day. It can also simply help to zone out of noise and stress when you are on the go,” she tells us. “It’s part of my recent meditative soundscape explorations and is a hybrid between my own productions, my vocals and personal edits of ambient sounds.”
