We’re thrilled to welcome Brooklyn-based DJ Oscar Nñ to the Crack Mix series for our final set of the year.
A co-founder of Papi Juice – the New York party and art collective that aims “to affirm and celebrate the lives of queer and trans people of colour” – Nñ has long been a fixture of the city’s queer underground. His uplifting and energetic Crack Mix, delivered just in time for New Year’s Eve, ended up as a response, in many ways, to some of the events that have shaped the year just gone.
“This mix is dedicated to the gay club. A very vulnerable place and space in 2022,” he tells us of the recording, which speaks to his deep appreciation of the dancefloor. “All divas, all vocals, lots of drums, and tons of dancing. Not much more to say, just a happy and familiar mix for what’s been a tough year to a very important cultural institution – queer and otherwise.”
