Party heat from p-rallel, the west London producer and DJ we are delighted to be welcoming to the Crack Mix series. For just under an hour, p-rallel expertly manoeuvres between body-moving UKG and house with his flip on Scott Garcia’s 1997 banger It’s a London Thing – entitled It’s a Lundun Thing – folded into the colourful concoction alongside the OG cut.
Like his Movement mixtape, which featured link-ups with the likes of Kam-Bu, BXKS and Deto Black, the set is club-primed listening experience.“I just felt like a bit of old school garage into some nice house music would do the trick,” he says of his mix. “[It’s a] nice way to bring you into 2024!” We won’t contest that.
