Today, Norwegian artist Maud – aka Kristine Hoff – comes through with the balm for our January blues in the form of PC Music, hyperpop and trance pop goods.
The mix gives a taste of the producer and artist’s forthcoming new album The Love That Remains (out next month), including tracks from the release alongside tapping into some of the sounds that have influenced her own strain of broodingly euphoric and tender pop. “My mix represents some of my favourite pop tracks at the moment, and some that have inspired me throughout the last few years,” she begins, “while also taking in some breakcore, drum’n’bass, jungle, hyperpop, trance and club music.”
Describing her Pop Zone as “rapid and experimental but mostly soft and dreamy”, it’s exactly the energy we need right now and features tracks from a whole host of our faves – including Charli XCX, Caroline Polachek, ML Buch and more. Enjoy.
