As Supervisjón, Lasse Jæger captures the permutations and existentialism of everyday life via an agile blend of footwork, juke and noise, as on his recent debut album Fast Trakk.
Hailing from Denmark but now based in the Faroe Islands, Jæger explores the outer reaches of Danish pop for this month’s instalment of Pop Zone. “This mix is a way of looking at yourself from the outside,” he says. “In the spirit of remembrance and exploration I wanted to see what kind of revelations pop up at the outer border of the Danish pop circuit.”
“Except for a few nostalgic highlights from my childhood and youth this is mostly new artists,” Jæger continues, “and the most exciting sounds to come out of the Danish realm in recent years: urgent vocals, both the stripped down and the heavily processed, synthpop, hip-hop, hyperpop via ballads and club hits.” Press play and enter Supervisjón’s Pop Zone.
