New York City has always been synonymous with dance music, as pivotal as Chicago and Detroit in its own way and constantly evolving. Its stock worldwide ebbs and flows but the city is in the midst of a purple patch right now, whether that’s through institutions like Nowadays, Public Records or Bossa Nova Civic Club, or crews making slick, dancefloor fuel (eg. AceMoMA) or jagged industrial experiments (Via App, Eartheater).
This set is an exploration of the former, with DJs Yellowtech and Mo Yasin picking out tracks by the cream of the current crop while demonstrating the vibe of their nomadic Good Faith parties.
