Sputnik One

A weighty and hypnotic mix from Dublin DJ and producer Sputnik One. 

Here, he stitches together peak-time tracks from artists such as Tessela, Al Wootton and Violet, opting for a cocktail of techno, bass-driven club sounds, ravey post-hardcore and more. He also includes a track of his own, Microbead, lifted from his new Wisdom Teeth EP Love From Above.

“This mix is a tribute to my first gig back since February 2020: a DIY party behind the S-Bahn Station in Charlottenburg, Berlin that happened back in mid-August,” he tells Crack Magazine over email.

“Prior to this, I had almost forgotten why I made and played music in the first place, and in the space of two hours everything had been reaffirmed,” he adds. “The goal of this recording was to try to capture a fleeting (but special) energy through an abridged selection of tunes and moments from the night. I’m hoping it will serve as a good memento for myself and those who were there!”
