Rewire your atmosphere with a tapestry of sounds from London production duo BON.
BON – a collaborative effort between Yerosha Windrich and Alex Morris – have been quietly imprinting their sound on the UK’s experimental landscape for some time now. Through projects for label staples such as 4AD, Hyperdub and Warp, as well as production credits for artists like Kojey Radical and GAIKA, they’ve established themselves as an inventive force creating at the intersection of club music and sound design.
For their contribution to our Sunday Mix series, the duo deliver an hour of crystalline ambient textures and hypnotising compositions – some their own (lifted from their new record Pantheon) and the rest by the likes of Lucinda Chua, Gail Laughton, Hiroshi Yoshimura and Aphex Twin.
“Pantheon is our current release, a modern-classical, ambient visual album; an ode to nature,” BON tell Crack Magazine over email. “We wanted to create a record using samples from recordings we created ourselves that were calm, romantic and had a natural, timeless feel. Something weathered and low-fi, but Hi-Fi and complete all at the same time. We created this mix combining some tracks from the album alongside some of the music that inspired us.”
