Sunday Mix: Cosha

Pop Sunday R&B Soul Folk

Irish singer-songwriter and producer Cosha is back with new music – and a new set for our Sunday series.

Let her soundtrack your day with a smooth, open-hearted blend of evocative folk, silky R&B and more, kicking off with an uplifting recording from her own personal bank of voice notes. It’s a gorgeous mix that does well to spotlight the pool of influences Cosha may well have turned to while writing her latest singles: August’s Sun Back and last month’s glistening Want You Back.

“These are some of the songs I’ve come across in the past two years that have stuck with me the most. During a period of extreme change and waves of heartbreak, I gravitated toward a mixture of incredibly emotive vocal performances, calming instrumentals and romantically-charged lyrics,” she says.

“Gratitude and optimism have been the main things that have gotten me through times of turmoil, so I wanted to start this mix off with a recording I took of my nieces expressing some things they’re grateful for, I listen to this clip nearly every morning, it makes me instantly happy. Hope you enjoy the music.”
